About
My Day Job
I am Developer at a Alchemy Systems in Austin, Texas. Alchemy has 2 primary products Avatar PDMS, a online learning management system geared towards Schools K-12 but is used in Colleges and Businesses too, SISTEM, a “Clicker based training” software where each student gets a remote with 6 buttons on it and interacts with the videos and content that we create for our framework. Both are pretty cool products. I started with Alchemy in April 2005 as a web developer and have done far more then that title as the company has evolved.
My freelancing
On top of working for Alchemy Systems I also do freelance jobs has I have time. Most of my freelance work is contract work for Ehren Foss at Prelude Interactive. I do everything from designing logos and identity packages to coding the backend of web products. I work a lot on the user interfaces of projects, slicing, htmling and javascript/ajaxing what the developer has created. I do enjoy getting my hand dirty on a nice challenging mysql query or unique programing problem too.
My Interests
I spend a lot of time in front of my MacBook Pro. I am either working on something or playing games, and strolling through the mass amount of data we have thrown up on the web. When I am able to pull myself from the MacBook Pro, I normally am watching the latest Netfilx movies to show up or out taking pictures with my Canon XSi DSLR. I also do some road biking when I can get myself motivated (need to work on doing that more!).
And that’s me a web techie.
